Sit & Sew Embroidery Club

Starts on 14 Sep 2010

For many "stitchers", the best way to learn something new is to "Sit & Sew" -- rather than watching a demo or reading a book.  So, we are resurrecting one of our must popular classes/clubs -- which is the Sit & Sew Embroidery Club.  This is open to all makes & models of machines  -- and will cover a wide variety of embroidery techniques.

Techniques that will be covered will be Stitching on Knit; Machine Embroidery Applique; Learning to Place Embroidery Designs; How to "hoop" the "unhoopable", and so much more.  Students will bring their machines to class, along with basic supplies.  Then, there will be a kit for purchase each month -- which will include the embroidery designs.

This club will meet once a month during the week, and once a month on Saturday.   Each session is $35 plus kit; or save by signing up for Sept.-December for $100!!

September's Class is "Terrific Towels Tips & Techniques"!  Have you seen all of those gorgeous monogrammed towels at Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel?  And have you seen the prices that go with them?  Now, you can learn to embroider beautiful towels for Gifts or to keep!  Learn to "hoop" on those thick, loopy towels that cannot be hooped.   Techniques will be shared to give you professional, luxurious looking towels with a monogram, and placement tips for all sizes of towels.   Lettering & monogram software will be explored, too!

Tuesday, September 14; 10am-12:30pm OR Saturday, September 25; 10am-12pm
