Overlay Serger Nightgown

Project design exclusively for Martha Pullen Serger Instructors

Soft cotton batiste and basic serger heirloom techniques are the ingredients for this sweet confection of a nightgown.  A yoke overlay is embellished with a center panel of silk satin ribbon, lace insertion and embroidered insertion -- that is further enhanced by ribbon woven through eyelet.  Rolled hem serger pintcks are stitched in rayon thread to border the center panel; the neck, sleeveless armholes, and yoke overlay are edged in lace.  The softly gathered waltz-length skirt is tucked across the bottom and finished with lace edging.

In this class, you will master the basic serger heirloom techniques such as rolled hem pintucks, lace to fabric, lace to entredeux & more!  Open to all makes & models of sergers
