for Teens and Pre-teens, ages 12-16

 Sewing is everywhere!!   Project Runway is one of the most popular & exciting programs on TV!  This camp  gives teens & pre-teens, (ages 12-16) the opportunity to create & learn to sew!   Sewing is a skill that will last them a lifetime, and give them a self confidence and satisfaction that can only be achieved by saying "I made it myself!"   

Each student will each be sewing on their own Limited Edition Project Runway Brother Innovis 40 Sewing Machine.  (Click this link to learn more about these machines!)  Brother is the exclusive Sewing licensee of Project Runway.   By the end of the week, students will master the basics of their machine & explore the 40 built in stitches available.   The best part -- at the end of the week, they will take home their OWN  Brother Innovis 40 machine!! 

We will provide the fabric kits &  all classroom supplies  -- students will only need to bring a few basic supplies (which are available in our "Sew Special Sewing Kit" if you want).   Sewing in our spacious classroom, with certified professional instructors, Beginners start in the “learn to sew” level and make a variety of projects that teach them the basics of machine sewing.  Some of the projects are a drawstring pillowcase tote and a trendy Amy Butler Sun Surf Hater -- and more!  Only quality fabrics are used - and the students will be given the opportunity to select their fabric from various pre-cut kits.   At the end of the camp, parents & friends will be invited to view their accomplishments in our Runway Fashion Show!!
