Learn to Sew (session 2)
Starts on 22 Apr 2010
Learn to Sew - Parts 1 & 2
Get to know your Sewing Machine: Session 1
Before you start any sewing class you NEED to know how to sew with your machine!
The first session of this class will take the mystery out of using your sewing machine. Did you recently receive a sewing machine and have no idea how to thread it? Maybe you have had one in your closet for years and would like to start using it again. Learn the fundamentals of how your machine is threaded, how the tension works, how to use the different stitch functions -- and the accessory feet for your machine. This class will teach you all the basics and get you sewing! Bring your machine or make arrangements to use one of our store machines. (This class is open to all sewing machines)
Using a Pattern & Sewing - Session 2
In the 2nd session of this class, students will de-code all of the symbols and language of commercial sewing patterns. Learn about fabric selection, reading the back of the pattern enveloping, laying out the fabric, cutting & then actually making a "unisex" apron -- for yourself or a gift! This session will give you the tools and skills that you need to venture into other sewing projects -- clothing, home dec, accessories & so much more!!
Thursday, April 8 and 22; 6:30-8:30pm; $59 for both sessions (Supplies will be additional)
