Join us for 2 days of our 2nd Annual Embroidery Fair! We are thrilled this year to have as our special guests - Hope Yoder of "Designs by Hope Yoder" and Barbara Jones of Brother, Int'l.
Join us for one day or both! Different lectures and Make It/Take projects each day. $25 per day or $40 for both! Includes all materials for Make It Take It Projects, Design CD, Snacks & lunch, Door prizes & more!
Friday's Schedule, April 16th: Doors open at 9:30am - Trunk shows will be displayed
10am-11: Hope shares Monogrammed Biz in a Box: In today's economy, many women are using their embroidery machines & creativity to supplement their families income by starting their own custom monogrammed business. Many of Hope's customers have started their own monogrammed cover button business by using her Button-Ups Fabric Button Cover Machines and embroidery collections. Hope will share many success stories from her customers & give you inside information in how to market your crafts, many how-to's for making unique items that are above and beyond the ordinarey items found by others. Topics wil linclude how to make pacifier holders, hair bows and monogrammed landyards and badge holders -- to name just a few!!
11:15 - 12:30 Barbara Jones - Brother BES Lettering Software- Educator for Brother International, will demonstrate the features of Brother's new BES Lettering Software! She will explore the "ins and outs" of this incredible software & show you how to create monograms, combine designs & lettering, array letter -- and walk you through a unique design that you will be able to take home on your CD & stitch out!!
12:30 - 2pm - Lunch and Make It/Take It: Hope and her assistant, Kimberly - along with the staff of Sew Special Studio -- will walk you through the process of creating a "Bizzy Bee" Monogrammed Key Finder (from Hope's not yet released collection) -- all on Brother Quattro & PR 650 Embroidery machines. Set a unique button back using the Button Ups Fabric Button Cover Machine - perfect as a practical gift for you or a friend! Also, Barbara will be available to demo and answer any questions on the BES Lettering & Brother machines.
2pm - 3pm: Fashion Trunk Show with Hope Yoder: Hope will share many of her lovely samples that have been featlured in magazines & at the Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion. As she shows each piece, she will give helpful information on techniques, stabilizer and fabric prep for each item. Be prepared to be inspired!!!
3pm - 4pm: You will have an opportunity to finish any unfinished "Make It Take It projects" -- and continue shopping or have your questions answered by the experts!!
